Nicole Campbell Fielding

Nicole Campbell-Fielding opened Dance Tech Studios in 1995 upon graduation from the University of Utah. Ms. Fielding was raised in Langley, Virginia where she began her 1st Ballet class at age 5.  She trained to professional levels in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap and Lyrical from Judy Bassing, Jo Rowan, Karen Hebert, Janice Barringer, and Chris Grogis throughout New York, the East and West Coasts. Her international credits include MTV lead dancer, Brigham Young University "Young Ambassadors", "Cougarettes" and "Star Search" finalist. Her choreography and performances have won, and continue to win, top state-wide and national awards. Her students have earned numerous National Dance Title Awards, College Dance Scholarships, become Directors of top educational Dance programs throughout the nation as well as worked professionally in the commercial dance world. In addition, she is a national judge for numerous competitions nationwide. Ms. Fielding is proud to be the Director and choreographer of several National award-winning Companies. She enjoys teaching everything from the “DTS Tiny Tutus” in Princess Company, up to the Elite level dancers. Entering into her 22nd year of Directing Dance Tech Studios, and her 32nd year of teaching, she continues to be inspired by the dancers she’s honored to work with.



Scott Fielding

Studio Co-Owner

Scott is Dance Tech's Boys Hip Hop Director and Instructor. He received training in Street Jazz at the Broadway Dance Center in New York and has a collegiate gymnastic background. In addition, he has trained in Hip Hop and Break Dance. He heads up Dance Tech's Little Man Jamm Hip Hop and the Teen Boys Break Dance program. Scott's "other" job is owner of Big Canyon Construction, Inc. and he designed, constructed and completed Dance Tech's phenomenal 15,000 sq. foot, state-of-the-art dance training facility.








Jenny Wilson

Instructor
Company Director

Jenny is one of the talented directors and choreographers of Dance Tech's national award-winning company programs. She was one of Dance Tech's first students, and was the 1st recipient of Dance Tech Studios "Dancer of The Year" award. She has trained to professional levels in Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary and Modern. She was selected to dance in the 2002 Olympics, perform with Odyssey Dance Company, among other stage opportunities with the University of Utah. She has trained with the industries top professionals at national conventions such as Tremaine, NUVO, Jump, and Monsters of Hip Hop to name a few in addition to training with some of the world’s most renown teachers and choreographers at Broadway Dance Center. Jenny is a graduate of the University of Utah and trained in their extensive Modern Program. Her choreography has received many overall high point, choreography, and specialty awards at both regional and national levels. She has recently found a passion in combining her love for dance and fitness and teaches an adult dance fitness format called WERQ. She was recently selected to be a Master Trainer certifying dance enthusiasts and fitness experts in the Rocky Mountain Region. Jenny is the proud mother of two children, daughter Ella who is a member of one of our performing companies, and son Knox.



Tyler Fielding

Instructor

Tyler began his dance training at the age of 5 in Dance Tech's orignial "Little Man Jamm" hip hop/breakdance program. Being the 1st son of the owners of Dance Tech, the boys Hip Hop and Breakdance program was created to give boys the opportunity to train in Hip Hop/Breakdance while balancing their school/sports commitments.  He competed, both statewide and nationally, for 13 years. He has received numerous overall high scoring awards including "Senior Overall High Point Solo" at the 2012 Thunderstruck Nationals Competition in Las Vegas. Tyler has been teaching in the newly titled “Boys Xtreme” program for many years. Tyler is entering his  5th year as one of Dance Tech's Hip Hop Company Directors.  His passion for performing and teaching is emulated throughout his classes. The “Boys Xtreme” program has grown to be one of the strongest boy's hip hop/break dance programs in Utah and nationwide.

 



Cole Fielding

Instructor

Cole Fielding was literally born into the Dance Tech family! Cole began his training at Dance Tech in the original “Little Man Jamm” program when he was 4. At age 5, he began his years of competing with the Little Man Jamm Hip Hop Company as well as hip hop production companies. Cole has competed both locally and nationally for years receiving overall high point awards. Balancing competitive baseball and football schedules over the years, Cole is a well rounded performer, athlete and teacher. He has been team teaching in the newly titled “Boys Xtreme” boys hip hop program for years as well as team teaching multiple hip hop companies at Dance Tech. His unique and gifted talents he shares with his students makes him a favorite teacher around DTS!

 

 

 


Celene Beth Calderon

Director of Public Relations

Celene is a Park City native and began dancing at Dance Tech Studios in the early 2000's. She became a part of our hip hop family through the years and trained under Jenny Wilson and Nicole Fielding. Celene was also part of the Park City High School Dance Company for 2 years and continued dancing into college at the University of Utah within the Modern program. She was also featured in Sara Christensen-Pickett's innovative "Mercenaries Against Calculated Corruption: episode VII" in November of 2006. After a year of the Modern program, Celene decided to take a much needed break from dance. Although, she made her return to the dance scene in 2011, when she became a certified Zumba and Hip Hop Hustle instructor and taught at Basin Recreation, University of Utah and Millennium Dance Complex Salt Lake City for 3 years. In 2014, Celene became the Director of Operations & Marketing of Millennium Dance Complex Salt Lake City and later that year, decided it was time to get back to work within her dance career. In a short amount of time, Celene has trained with dance locals such as Tia Aiono, Jeffrey Louizia, Eldon Johnson, Diego Ballesteros, and many more.  Among world-renowned choreographers such as, Tricia Miranda, Luther Brown, Laure Courtellemont, Jojo Gomez, Brian Friedman, Marty Kudelka, Yanis Marshall, CJ Salvador, Bobby Newberry, Willdabeast and many more! Celene was also a member of the professional dance company, Underground Crew Season 5. In August of 2015, Celene left Millennium and returned to her DTS family and became a part of their hip hop program. She is also directing her first documentary this upcoming year and hoping to have it premiere in 2019!  Celene is our proud Director of Public Relations for the third year and teaching hip hop to the next generation!

Sarah Lovett

Instructor

Sarah Lovett originally hails from Heber City, Utah. She trained & performed with Wasatch Dance Center, Odyssey Dance and Center Stage, in her early years. She began teaching at seventeen, falling in love with the process through taking classes with the likes of Wade Robson, Mia Michaels & Dan Karaty. She began performing her own choreography through various outlets & was invited to dance with ESPN and the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics before her senior graduation. While attending a dance intensive in the Land of Angels before her freshman year of college, she discovered contemporary movement. Oh my goodness....breath! Attending the University of Utah for modern dance assisted her process of finding the purpose behind why we dance. She began teaching throughout Utah--all ages, all types, while specializing in modern/contemporary dance, studying the art of the breath and loving self through various movement. As a teacher, Sarah has taught at Wasatch Dance Center, Dance Tech Studios, Salt Lake Continuing Education, various high school programs, the Girl Scouts of America, The Studio of Performing Arts in New Canaan, as well as Statement Arts Program in NYC. Her classes are focused on trusting self and the process of movement, why we move the way we move, and having confidence in who each student is as a performer. She is skilled in jazz technique, ballet, hip hop, funk, and contemporary/modern. She is also Pilates and Reiki certified. 

 


 

Amy Nielsen

Instructor

Amy Nielsen comes to Dance Tech Studios with 16 years of experience ranging from Suzanne’s School of Dance to the Contemporary Dance Department at Brigham Young University. Amy also attended Highland High School and was on their Dance Company for all four years. Amy has been the Stars Competition Team Assistant and also taught at the Dance Club in Orem, Utah. This is Amy’s 2nd year with the Dance Tech Family.

Risa Tanaka

Instructor

Risa has been dancing since she was 6.  She grew up competing till she was 14 and then went on to train at different dance studios. She has trained in many styles especially in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop.  She was a Scholarship recipient at the University of Utah for Modern Dance but switched degrees and graduated with a B.S. In Health, Society and Policy.  She has been teaching for three years now and absolutely enjoys teaching and seeing her students grow.  She was on a professional dance company called Underground Crew for season 5.  She has had the pleasure of working with Bonnie Story, Eldon Johnson and many others who have contributed to where she is now.

 

 

 


 

 

Lauren MacRitchie

Instructor

Lauren has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She grew up training and competing on a national level with Dance Tech Studios until she was 18. She has extensive training in hip hop, ballet, pointe,contemporary, jazz, and tap. Throughout her experience at Dance Tech Studios, she regularly attended national dance conventions such as Jump, Nuvo, Pulse, Monsters of Hip Hop and 24/7. She has trained with Twitch, Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, and Misha Gabriel, just to name a few. Lauren had the honor of assisting Twitch as well. Lauren is currently a sophomore at the University of Utah studying Kinesiology. . Lauren’s genuine love for dance and sharing her talents is her greatest asset to her students. We’re lucky to have her back teaching again!

 



Ryann Westrop

Instructor

Ryann Westrop trained with Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy from age three until age seventeen. She specializes in classical ballet (pointe), musical theatre, and contemporary. She has trained extensively in jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and musical theatre. She has had the opportunity to train with and be taught by amazing choreographers such as Travis Wall, Jeff Whiting Michael Bearden, Suzi Wood, and Christie Moulton. She was accepted to The Open Jar Institute’s summer intensive in New York City. Ryann has many years of teaching experience including assistant teaching in Lindsey Brown Chant’s BodAlign workshop, assisting in BYU dance instructor’s contemporary class under Ashley Peterson, assisting in the Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy’s ballet program under Kristi Hill, Choreographing for Wasatch High School’s production of Mary Poppins, and directing an award winning production of “The Struggles.” Ryann lives in Heber City with her husband, little boy, and puppy.

 

 


JESSICA CONNELLY

INSTRUCTOR

Jessica's professional work includes performing with Princess Cruise Lines and in various Dinner Theaters globally, as well as instructing various dance styles. Prior to that, she spent time training in Los Angeles, where she did a work study with Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio. Currently, she works with students one on one to prepare them for auditions and competitions, as well as choreography for theaters and studios, and adjudication for dance competitions.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Annie Connolly 

Instuctor

 

Annie Connolly started dancing in a Mom & Tots class when she was just under two years old, and hasn’t stopped since! She trained in modern dance for over ten years with Tanner Dance and Children’s Dance Theater. Soon after, she expanded her training into ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical at Silhouette Dance Studio. She competed with Silhouette’s Senior Elite Company for 6 years, attending state and national conventions and competitions such as NYCDA, Adrenaline, Thunderstruck, and Nuvo. She was a four year member and choreographer of the Highland High Dance Company, and since graduation in 2016 has choreographed for and assisted in directing the Highland Jr. Dance Company. She is currently in her junior year at the University of Utah, where she majors in Modern Dance, and preforms regularly within the School of Dance. In between academic years, she spends her summers working as a camp counselor and dance teacher at Camp Vega for Girls in Fayette, Maine. 

 



 

 

MCCALLISTER MICK

INSTRUCTOR

McCallister Mick recently returned to Park City after years away training at various schools throughout the U.S and Europe. She began her journey in dance at neighborhood studios in Pennsylvania and Texas. When McCallister moved to Park City at the age of 7, she began studying ballet under Natalia Chapourskaya at Dance Tech Studios, she is now back home and is once again training with Ms. Chapourskaya while recovering from an injury. . At the age of 9 McCallister traveled to the Vaganova Ballet School, in Saint Petersburg, Russia for vigorous training in technique and character dance. She then studied under Misha Tchoupakov in Salt Lake City before being accepted into Indiana Ballet Conservatory. There she studied under Alyona Yakovleva-Randall, Tatiana Pali , and Sergey Sergiev. From there she continued studying ballet at the School of Russian Ballet in Marbella, Spain, under the exclusive instruction of Regina Zarhina. After being accepted into University of North Carolina School of The Arts, she then moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina to study under Susan Jaffe, former soloist for American Ballet Theater. McCallister was then given a Trainee position at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet in Michigan, dancing repertoire and variations set by Mariana Lobanova and Olga Korotaeva. McCallister has attended many summer intensives around the world, including: The Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive, Gelsey Kirkland Summer Intensive In New York, The Royal Ballet School Summer Intensive In London, England, and the Tivoli Ballet School Summer Intensive in Copenhagen, Denmark. McCallister has extensive competition experience, highlights include: Top 10 Classical in The International Ballet and Contemporary Competition (Domenico Modugno) in Bari, Italy; Bronze Medalist in Classical Variations in VKIBC, Brussels, Belgium; Top 10 Classical variations in YAGP, Paris, France; New York Finalist YAGP; and New York Finalist VKIBC. McCallister is grateful to be able to share her passion for ballet with future ballet stars!


 

 

Allie Sherman

Choreographer

Allie is a director and instructor for Dance Tech. Over the years, her choreography has received numerous top overall awards and choreography awards. Allie comes from an extensive training background in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and gymnastics. She has competed at the national level receiving many top overall scores, awards, and scholarships. In 2011, she attended and graduated Broadway Dance Center's Summer Professional Program, where she trained with some of the top choreographers in the nation. She was honored to win the "Protégé" scholarship from the Pulse On Tour Dance Convention, where she was awarded free tuition for a year and danced alongside their amazing faculty. She has performed in Odyssey Dance Theater's "Thriller" and "High School Musical 2." She also recently danced in SunnyMarz's "Red Light" music video. Allie's love and passion for dance is quite evident in her classes.


 

 

Allisen MacRitchie

Office Manager/Financial Director

Allisen MacRitchie has been an integral part of the Dance Tech family for over 12 years.  We first met Allisen in 2004 when she registered her then 6 year old daughter, Lauren in Dance Tech’s company program.  She held the job title of “Dance Mom” through Lauren’s years of dance training and competition memories.  Allisen joined the Office staff in 2008 and has been the Office/Financial Director since then.  Now with her daughter graduated from Park City High School, and attending the University of Utah in Nursing,  Allisen offers valuable insight and advice first hand from a parent’s point of view of the DTS experience from beginning to end.  Originally from Chicago, Allisen received her Associates in Business where she went on to Executive Assistant positions for the CEO’s of “CDW” in Chicago, and “Network Express” in Ann Arbor Michigan.  After 13 years of the Corporate life, she met her husband Scott MacRitchie and relocated to Park City,  Utah.  Allisen has 3 children and 1 granddaughter.  We are so grateful to have Allisen as one of the leaders and Mentors of our Dance Tech Family.

Ashlee Jensen

Office Staff

Ashlee was born and raised in Salt Lake City. She participated in Dance Company at Murray High School. She is currently studying Psychology at the University of Utah. In addition to her Office staff position at Dance Tech Studios, she also works as an Instructional Assistant at Park City High School working in the ESL Department. Her husband works as a counselor at Treasure Mountain Junior High School. She has two children ages 13 and 10. Her daughter Zoe absolutely loves dancing at this studio! She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing, stand-up paddleboarding and having dance battles with her daughter.
