Each member of Dance Tech’s Faculty family holds the highest levels of education, professional training, seasoned professional experience in each genre, and age group they work with. Our teachers are not simply just “teachers”...they are life mentors, role models, motivators and selflessly share their passion and love for dance and life.

Nicole Campbell-Fielding

Director, Owner, and Company Director

Nicole opened Dance Tech Studios in 1995 upon graduation from the University of Utah. Ms. Fielding was raised in Langley, Virginia where she began her 1st Ballet class at age 5. She trained to professional levels in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, and Lyrical from Judy Bassing, Jo Rowan, Karen Hebert, Janice Barringer, and Chris Grogis throughout New York, the East and West Coasts. Her international credits include MTV lead dancer, Brigham Young University’s "Cougarettes", toured Europe as “Lead Dancer” with BYU’S "Young Ambassadors", and at the age of 13, was a finalist for "Star Search". Her choreography and performances have won, and continue to win, top statewide and national recognition. Her students have earned numerous National Dance Title Awards, College Dance Scholarships, are currently performing on Broadway, have become Directors of top educational Dance programs throughout the nation as well as worked professionally in every facet of the commercial dance world. In addition, she is a National judge for numerous competitions around the country. Ms. Fielding is proud to be the Director and choreographer of several National award-winning Companies. She loves teaching everything from entry-level minis up to our Elite level dancers. Her "dream came true" when she became a grandmother in 2023 to Ms.Campbell Fielding!! Ms. Fielding is entering into her 29th year of Owning & Directing Dance Tech Studios, and her 39th year of teaching. She continues to never take her “job” for granted and is honored to be working every day with these amazing kids and DTS staff family.

Scott Fielding

Studio Co-Owner

Aside from designing and building Dance Tech's AMAZING 15,000 sq ft facility,  Scott has been teaching the DTS Acro/Tumbling program for 8 years as well as teaching staff for the origional "Little Man Jamm" program and current DTS infamous “Boys Xtreme” program. He received training in Street Jazz at the Broadway Dance Center in New York and has a collegiate gymnastic background. Scott's "other" job is the owner of Big Canyon Construction, Inc. building residential and commercial projects throughout Summit and Salt Lake counties.

Tyler Fielding

Instructor & Company Director

Tyler began his dance training at the age of 5 in Dance Tech's original "Little Man Jamm" hip hop/breakdance program. Being the 1st son of the owners of Dance Tech, the boys’ Hip Hop and Breakdance programs were created to give boys the opportunity to train in Hip Hop/Breakdance while balancing their school/sports commitments. He competed, both statewide and nationally, for 13 years while playing on a competitive baseball and football team. He has received numerous overall high scoring awards including "Senior Overall High Point Solo" at the 2012 Thunderstruck Nationals Competition in Las Vegas. For the past 12 years,Tyler along with his brother Cole, have been the Hip Hop competition teams Directors as well as directing the “Boys Xtreme” program. They are also "Event Leads" at Lux Catering in Salt Lake City. In any spare time found, Tyler enjoys attending music festivals nationwide and flying down the black diamond runs at Snowbird. His passion for dance, music, choreographing and being every dancer's "favorite teacher" is emulated throughout his classes. The “Boys Xtreme” program has grown to be one of the strongest boy's hip hop/breakdance programs in Utah and nationwide. 

Cole Fielding

Instructor & Company Director

Cole was literally born into the Dance Tech family! Cole began his training at Dance Tech in the original “Little Man Jamm” program when he was 4. At age 5, he began his years of competing with the Little Man Jamm Hip Hop Company as well as hip hop production companies. Cole has competed both locally and nationally for years receiving overall high point awards. Balancing competitive baseball and football schedules over the years, Cole is a well-rounded performer, athlete, and teacher. He has been team teaching/Directing the  “Boys Xtreme” boys hip hop program for years as well as team Directing the Hip Hop companies at Dance Tech. His unique and gifted talents he shares with his students make him a favorite teacher around DTS! He is an Event Lead at Lux Catering in Salt Lake City, has his private pilot's license and is in the process of obtaining his Commercial Pilot rating. This past year, Cole and Katie welcomed a beautiful little girl into the world, Ms. Campbell Fielding!!! She will be the 2nd generation of Fieldings to dance at the studio. Cole can't wait for her to start dancing and follow in his foot steps!

RACHEL VISELLI-MURDOCK

Instructor

We are honored in welcoming Ms. Viselli to our DTS faculty! Her extensive training and performances in classic to contemporary ballet is an asset to her students. Ms. Viselli’s training includes San Francisco Ballet School the University of Utah Concurrent Program, Ballet West Conservatory. Ms. Viselli joined the San Francisco Ballet Company in
1999, promoted to Soloist in 2004, then to Principal in 2007. Upon her return back to her Utah roots, she performed in numerous Ballet West Company performances. Her Corps de Ballet, Soloist and Principal roles included international performances in The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake, Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen and Spanish in the Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Paquita; just to name a few. When not in the studio, you will find Ms. Viselli on the ski slopes in Park City or hiking throughout our beautiful state of Utah with her husband and 2 daughters.

 

Allie Sherman

Instructor & Company Director

Allie started out at DTS as a student many years ago. She has had extensive training in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and gymnastics. She has competed at the national level receiving many top overall scores, awards, and scholarships. In 2011, she attended and graduated from Broadway Dance Center's Summer Professional Program, where she trained with some of the top choreographers in the nation. She was honored to win the "Protégé" scholarship from the Pulse On Tour Dance Convention, where she was awarded free tuition for a year and danced alongside their amazing faculty. She has performed in Odyssey Dance Theater's "Thriller" and "High School Musical 2." She also recently danced in SunnyMarz's "Red Light" music video.  Her choreography has received numerous top overall awards for many years. Not only is Allie a mentor and phenomenal example, she carries that home to her beautiful daughters; Saylor and Londyn. 

Risa Tanaka

Instructor

Risa has been dancing since she was 6. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop. She was a member of Hillcrest Highschool’s Dance Company and musical productions. She later then studied modern dance her first year in college as a scholarship recipient at the University of Utah and later changed her major to Behavioral Science. She is now looking to further her education by working towards her nursing degree in hopes that learning about the body will better enhance her love and knowledge for teaching dance. Better yet, she is excited to reach her goal of becoming an Aesthetics Nurse. Risa has taught jazz and hip-hop for the last 8 years, choreographing solos and group numbers. She loves to work with different formations and timing as well as mentoring young dancers to help them grow. In her spare time, she takes dance classes at Millennium or online which allows her to maintain her flexibility and mobility. You can also find her at local yoga and barre classes, which she takes to help increase her knowledge of the body which she can then pass on to her students.

Sarah Lovett

Instructor & Company Director

Sarah originally hails from Heber City, Utah. She trained & performed with Wasatch Dance Center, Odyssey Dance, and Center Stage, in her early years. She began teaching at seventeen, falling in love with the process through taking classes with the likes of Wade Robson, Mia Michaels & Dan Karaty. She began performing her own choreography through various outlets & was invited to dance with ESPN and the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics before her senior graduation. While attending a dance intensive in the Land of Angels before her freshman year of college, she discovered contemporary movement. Oh my goodness....breath! Attending the University of Utah for modern dance assisted her process of finding the purpose behind why we dance. She began teaching throughout Utah--all ages, all types while specializing in modern/contemporary dance, studying the art of the breath, and loving self through various movements. As a teacher, Sarah has taught at Wasatch Dance Center, Dance Tech Studios, Salt Lake Continuing Education, various high school programs, the Girl Scouts of America, The Studio of Performing Arts in New Canaan, as well as Statement Arts Program in NYC. Her classes are focused on trusting self and the process of movement, why we move the way we move and having confidence in who each student is as a performer. She is skilled in jazz technique, ballet, hip hop, funk, and contemporary/modern. She is also Pilates and Reiki certified.

Amy Nielsen-Bailey

Instructor & Company Director

Amy comes to Dance Tech Studios with 16 years of training and National competition experience in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Modern. Amy graduated from Highland High School and was on their Dance Company all four years. Amy is a talented award-winning choreographer in all genres, for all ages of dancers. Her pure love and passion for dance and teaching are evident in every class she teaches. This is Amy’s 9th year with the Dance Tech Family.

McKenzie Brotherson

Instructor

McKenzie has been dancing from the age of three. She is well versed in many styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and both latin and standard ballroom. She has trained and competed at a national level with many studios, such as Park City Dance, Dance Tech, The Pointe, The Vibe, and Center Stage Performing Arts. McKenzie has had the opportunity to work with numerous renowned choreographers across the United States. Some of her favorite dance memories include competing on America’s Got Talent Season 10, filming a music video with Alex Boyé, and spending several summers training at the Rockette Summer Intensive. McKenzie recently graduated from the University of Utah. She is majored in kinesiology with plans of attending dental school. McKenzie is excited to be back at Dance Tech and looks forward to sharing her passion for ballroom with her students!


 

Leslie Jara

Instructor

We are so excited to have this firecracker join our DTS Teaching Family! Leslie Jara was born and raised in West Valley City, Utah, but her heart resides in Durango, Mexico. Dance became a huge part of Leslie’s life after the passing of her brother at an early age. It was her way of grieving, communicating, and expressing how she felt.  After many years of self training, her work was put to the test when she tried out for the Drill Team at Granger High School. For four years she competed with her fellow “Excaliburs” and even led them through their competition season as President of the team her Senior year. Alongside Drill, she was also on her school’s Dance Company and Track and Field. Her natural born leadership has taught her a lot about helping those around her succeed all while fighting for her own dreams. After graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, Leslie decided to continue her studies at the University of Utah. She is in her Senior year to earn a BFA in Modern Dance in May of 2024.  She’s worked as a JuntosGlobal Teacher, teaching dance to students in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Mexico via Zoom. She's taught Hip Hop, Jazz, and Turns/Leaps at Utah Dance Artists and Utah Dance Institute and is grateful to be teaching @ Dance Tech Studios. 

Jenny Wilson

Instructor 

Jenny is one of the talented directors and choreographers of Dance Tech's national award-winning company programs. She was one of Dance Tech's first students, and was the 1st recipient of Dance Tech Studios "Dancer of The Year" award. She has trained to professional levels in Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary and Modern. She was selected to dance in the 2002 Olympics, perform with Odyssey Dance Company, among other stage opportunities with the University of Utah. She has trained with the industry's top professionals at national conventions such as Tremaine, NUVO, Jump, and Monsters of Hip Hop to name a few in addition to training with some of the world’s most renowned teachers and choreographers at Broadway Dance Center. Jenny is a graduate of the University of Utah and trained in their extensive Modern Program. Her choreography has received many overall high point, choreography, and specialty awards at both regional and national levels. She has recently found a passion in combining her love for dance and fitness and teaches an adult dance fitness format called WERQ. She was recently selected to be a Master Trainer certifying dance enthusiasts and fitness experts in the Rocky Mountain Region. Jenny is the proud mother of two children, daughter Ella who is a member of one of our performing companies, and son Knox.

Reagan Morgan

Instructor

We are looking forward to having Reagan part of our Dance Tech Family! She has been dancing for 13 years and has trained under Ballet West, Natalia Chapourskaya, and Koulton Ballet Boston. She competed at YAGP and scored in the top 24 in ballet and contemporary.

 

 

Brenda Bellamy

Operations Manager/Beginning Tap Instructor

Brenda began her love for dance at the age of 3 when her mom enrolled her and her sisters in a dance program in Salt Lake City while living in Park City, Utah. Brenda’s mom talked her teacher into teaching in Park City where she taught at the Park City Memorial building. Brenda continued her dance training in Logan, Utah when her family moved to her family farm upon her grandfather’s death. She danced with LullaVe Davis School of Dance, a local dance teacher, and then Tueller School of Dance where she participated in dance conventions in Salt Lake City, Utah and Dallas, Texas. Brenda was fortunate to be selected for a dance scholarship while attending a Tremaine dance convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brenda was also a member of her high school Songleader Team her Junior and Senior year and after graduating at Skyview High School, Brenda attended Utah State University with plan to study child psychology. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and attended the University of Utah where she enrolled in the University of Utah ballet program. Even though she did not continue training in the ballet arts, she has never stopped loving the art of dance.

Being blessed with a son who loved to act and dance, her son was enrolled in the Dance Tech Studios Boys Xtreme program at the age of 5 and he has continued his training with the Dance Tech Studios Hip Hop program. Being a part of the Dance Tech Studios family as a dance parent, brought the opportunity to work for Dance Tech Studios as a staff member assisting the office manager and director. Brenda has been a part of the Dance Tech Studios Operations team for the past several years and has loved every minute of it.
